We have received a lot of feedback that many Order Members wish they had more opportunities to discuss their insight practice and experience.
The MIG team are trying to help people form ongoing “insight discussion circles”. To this end, we will be running a series of events, initially hosted by us, where we can get to know each other, with a view to forming ongoing groups that meet independently in the future.
You are welcome to attend any or all of the hosted events, regardless of whether you would like to join an ongoing group.
The first of the hosted meetings will be Tuesday 3rd February and Saturday 7th February. For the hosted meetings, we will ensure someone is available to give a presentation about their own experience, after which we will break into groups of about 4 or 5 people. The purpose of the presentation is partly to introduce the person giving the presentation, partly to “break the ice” and give a jumping off point for the smaller groups.
After some of these hosted sessions, we will help and encourage the formation of independent groups that can meet at any time. MIG would like to stay in touch with these groups, but that will be your choice.
If you can’t make either of the times suggested, but would like to join an ongoing group at another time, let us know, and we will see if we can match people up when the time comes.
